When you eject a beaker from the reagent extractor or chem dispenser, it ejects to the floor (beneath the machine, in the case of the reagent extractor), rather than into your hand as it did before.

Remember, again, that the intended way of self-surgery is by using alcohol. The bug is not being able to do surgery on yourself, the bug is being able to do so without alcohol.

Self-surgery IS a feature, it just requires alcohol. The ability to do it without alcohol is a bug.

I think the feature is more to help doctors, who don't want to babysit the entirety of a blood transfusion to avoid killing a patient. I don't love this idea, to be honest.
