Nuke disk duplicates itself on disk respawn.
#1
How to reproduce:

1: Get disk.
2: Gib while in possession of disk.
3: Two disks are now spawned.
#2
More than likely a feature to punish you for getting gibbed with the disk in your possession.
#3
I remember it coming up a few times before, it's a known issue. Dunno if it's classified as a feature or just too much of a bugger to solve.

Wonder if it's related to the fedora duplicating itself.
#4
not a feature. should probably be fixed
#5
In most cases disk duplication is intended. The issue in the past was captains leaving the z-level and noticing the disk mysteriously vanishing from their pockets, followed by promptly screaming "NUUUUKE" and scrambling to reaquire the disk and bunker up.

This is presumably related to that.

Sounds a lot like

This looks like a consistent bug between items that are supposed to survive gibbing.
#7
Also when this happens the pinpointer becomes useless. It will just take you to the middle of space and say the disk is there when there is nothing. This has been a bug since forever surprise its still around to be honest.

They're actually unrelated believe it or not.

the problem with this explanation is that it's clearly not intended; duplicate disks can't be used in the nuke properly and also break the pinpointers

Duplicate fedoras also don't work properly.

Bug is irrelevant so I guess it's resolved.
