Oh that's just the McFly effect. Another lead was a hint to do with what haoeoned to the lotus eaters in the Odyssey. A look at the island name reveals it translates into a word for a singular meninges, which might mean it's a brain related hint. Although Erik is a hwrk and went "You need a cat" which makes no sense at all. The Meat Station has a giant head which might have a brain to check out.

The probable reason for that is that the item itself is a slimy wad of paper (literally the name of it) barfed up by a cat. It's amazing any of it is legible. I got the paper by using the new membership card in the Void on Jones.

I could understand it being that if they were crumpled up or smeared, but they are literally broken, like somebody smashed them into pieces then reassembled them randomly
