This is an old one, your can-be-handcuffed state doesn't update and remove your handcuffs if an arm gets blown off after you've been handcuffed

No one can make a masterful escape from security by blowing their arm off.

Maybe it's still chained to your other arm, and it makes it impossible to do anything with that limb dangling off wrist.
