Yob (slang)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Yob is a slang word used in the United Kingdom. The term denotes a loutish, uncultured person,[1] and is published in dictionaries in the United Kingdom.
Possible reference to one of the diner inhabitants?
Yob - "The antithesis of what a good boy should be - rude, obnoxious, violent and stupid. Formed by spelling 'boy' bacwards, it was coined in England in the 18th century as it was very popular amongst upperclasses to speak backwards at the time."
Perhaps more of the words are reversed then?
For example the "npo" in the upper left corner could be "opn", short for "open"?
LIF -> Fil, short for "fill"?
The word next to "npo", "L_sctsl", could contain the short from of secrets as "scts"?

Update on the note. Oxy has tried putting into a playfair cipher solver using IONES as the keyword and figuring it out from there to get ONE HUNDRED FOURTY FOURTY TWO TWOX with NEO LRSCTDL CIF ASQTUZ DSQTUE YOB QYNW.
An issue we've come across is trying to figure out what letters are in the last part of the note which can be seen here,
If anyone can figure out if there's anything we're overlooking this would be great, otherwise we'll have to try and figure out what ONE HUNDRED FOURTY FOURTY TWO means. Could be a password, tried it in telesci and it did nothing. I've heard one dude say the cheget only has 4 digits so probably isn't the password.

Fourty is a misspelling of forty.
Maybe this is a clue about the identity of the author?

If the fourty being misspelled has nothing to do with it I have two ideas. Either 1404022 is a code or this could be coordinates 140 42 2 that requires manual searching to find a secret flood item like the droid factory key. Oxy also got 9840 somehow via subtracting 42 from 140 going by placement of words so it could be a cheget code. I did the same and got 9802 as the remaining numbers. So far this is how I feel.

It's probably just Shitty Bill's NT serial number.

If that was the case we've got nothing to go on and this was a useless hunt like the red herring pic
E: If anyone is willing to I'd appreciate it if you would unlock the cheget via the drone factory key in Bio from the satellite remote and the key in the Russian shuttle vendor. I've tried but I keep getting interrupted and I'm not home til 4

The coordinate idea sounds promising.

Then let's look for a t science area where the coordinates 140 42 2 are
E I checked the beacon locations and they aren't really relevant. So unless it involves the Void it is something else.

If it is coordinates, there should be something at the X. Now all we have to do is go and look

It is. It's on the biodome top floor, to the south of that dining hall area just as you enter the top floor.

Maybe we gotta go to that spot and listen for another numbers station broadcast?

Personally I think it's something like the key in the Drone Factory. Empty tile you click and get.

I'm inclined to agree with you here, the numbers station thing wouldn't really make sense for the location.
