I'm not asking for a chemistry hard mode, I'm asking for an upgrade that adds stuff like dilovene and inaprovaline directly to the chemistry machine so people can make as much as they want without bothering botany or QM.
Imagine being able to stop a radiation epidemic by mass producing ryetalin without needing to mass order anti toxin.
It would make chemistry easier because you wouldn't have to find those chemicals, they'd be there already.

Or you could be like smart chemists and not bother with making more than 5 units of something, and smoke the shit out of it everywhere you need it.
Albeit i'm probably the only chemist who would ever mass-produce ryetalyn smoke to actually -help- people.

That's a thing I've been intending to add for awhile, just haven't gotten around to it yet. Chemistry should and eventually will have an in-game recipe list. Fuck the secret-keepers, there's no reason anyone should have to look around online for a ~secrets~ list during the middle of the round when medbay asks for more kelotane.
Obviously this won't be a complete list, just a basic primer on useful stuff with some vague hints about the awful stuff.
As far as the chemistry upgrade goes... nah.
If you want more dylovene, ask Botany to make some. If botany doesn't get around to it, oh well.
Also if you actually ever run out of dylovene, you are a scrub chemist fyi.
p.s. there are some really dumb broken exploits in chemistry that ought to be fixed re: smoke

A chemistry textbook showing how to make basic things like space cleaner, Medical chemicals (Like Alkasyne, Kelotane, Bicardene, Antihol etc), ammonia, etc etc would be pretty sweet and helpful. Also maybe 2 should spawn so people can mouse through them.
And then possibly add little scrawled notes in parts of the station showing how to make Crack and Krokodil and other fun things.
