Will the solarium GOOD ending ever be cleared?
Is everyone absolutely certain nothing can be done with the Inactive Robots?

I just noticed they all seem to have different flavor texts. Why bother to make different flavour texts at all if each one wasn't somewhat important.

Hrm.

Despite being a rough translation... It says a lot.

Notice how he says 'Butcherers FROM lumps of earth" and "Those Ones"
He isn't talking about humans. He is talking about Nanotrasen. They are a TERRIBLE company that has done REALLY horrible shit. There is parts of goonstation lore pointing to the fact that the crew every round are clones of people who were in the last shift. Just memory wiped and started again.

Also, there was stuff that WASN'T part of cogmap's debris field until AFTER halloween 2014. Some of these areas gave clues and hints to telesci. Why we're these removed in the first place? A lot of the players older then me remembered them. And suddenly they got re-added back into the game out of the blue? Did someone just forget about them? Are they not vital to solving the good ending? OR! Someone got close enough to it that they NEEDED these things added back in order to finish it?

As far as I have explored all of them, the is only 1 thing that connects to telesci. I haven't found any clues that connect anything else.

That's the biggest fucking drone.

I've never even seen any indication that the syndicate are human at all. Always just drones and automation as far as the eye can see.

There are human syndicate operative NPCs that can spawn from portals being open too long, and also the entire syndicate gamemode

I just avoid using hostile human NPCs much on the map. Drones feeling robotic makes sense, but silently angry yet normal-looking human mobs stand out weirdly I think. Also been cautioned against using them by other coders. Might use more after some needed mob optimization work though.

At one point back in goonstation history, ~mport~ made some godawful space area that was just full of combative human NPCs shooting at... zombies? Other NPCs? Idk. Whatever it was, it constantly made the game crawl to a halt with nobody around to even see it happening.

Oh well that makes sense.

I'm right about that little outpost actually being a drone though right? Drone sensor array, server racks, huge battery. Can you give any hints about inactive robots if infact they are important to the solarium? They just show up in some odd locations..

Is there any list with our knowledge about goonstation background lore?

the name of the hangar on it is z drone hangar I think. also the robots would be good to investigate further.

I've been trying to get an inactive robot into a docking station any docking station. Even the malfunctioning one but how do you move the thing? I can crate it but the crate dissapears when loaded into a pod.

Hitting it with an electrically charged item doesn't work, I've tried a defib, stun baton.. maybe cell cables from a borg?

I keep going back to people saying they've tried multiple things but it just seems odd that with all the generic clutter we have these inactive borgs with their own flavour texts

I thought the implication with the implants in operatives was that they were being forced to do the stuff they were doing or be exploded. Robot overlords could still technically be behind that.

I always assumed they were brainwashed clones due to the fact the nuke kills them too.

I always thought that syndie ops were semi-suicide operatives, who were scanned at their home base and sent out to nuke a target, and themselves in the process, and then cloned back at base after the job was completed.

Going by ISNs backstory.

Note that the darknesses also specifically refer to us, humans, as 'butchers'. They really hate us.

NanoTrasen blew up a considerable amount of earth. Wiped out half of asia no?

“Your people's hubris, your people's breach of promise, to extinguish the fire of the heavens!”

Hubris in fucking with plasma?

“This hole, this place of murder and mourning: the metal servant was molded to guard against the butchers.”

Borgs, Automaton, drones..

The space time breach, The ill-looking fellow has been in there for quite some time no? How long?
Is time moving everywhere but near SS13? Did we cause some cataclysmic event with Sol?
Is time looping endlessly forever? Is everything automated?

“You abomination, you (created creature?), you let loose the ancient master!”

What did we do to Sol? Why is everything so old in the debris field? How many times
has the crew been replaced by clones? What year is it REALLY? Why is there never anyone at centcomm?
What happens to the clones who reach centcomm?

Goddamn this game is deep.

Drones are an insanely huge part of this game. Even the time-breach PR-7 references the shit out of them.
Then we have the Robuddy factory, drone factory, inactive borgs everywhere...

While the crew changes they remain the same.

Y'know, then there's wizards.
