Currently, martian mutants are horrifying instant kill unless somebody drags you away far enough. You should be able to block their attack using a shitty tinfoil hat. It could also maybe block people from reading your mind.

Meta-neural enhancement needs this capability too, if it doesn't already. There needs to be some anti-martian mutant instagib tactic either way, but this is certainly a good start. It could be kept in the kitchen, so you can wrap food with it for shits and giggles too.

Let tinfoil be used to coat walls (on one side), so we can have rooms that block out radiowaves on one side for paranoia.
