[PR] Experiment: Bodies no longer fit in Enzymatic Reclaimers [mdb ignore]
#31
Two small suggestions

1: Add Soylent Green and make it give high biomass.

and

2: Have the green meat and organs botany grow give more biomass the high the potency is.

I think synthflesh and viscerite should be the only direct sources of biomatter, while blood should go through the reclaimer.

A suggestion: since even long term players seem to get confused about blood going in for biomass add instructions for that in the cloner, or:

Add a Organic Biomass Slurry chem that can be made in botany from a slurry pod mutation and ordered in cargo. Could also be drank to fill hunger and poured in the ground to make an inerty flesh colored blob tile?

An idea to make miasma less of a bother would be that bodies in a moruge container thing don't rot/auto injects embalming fluid. Would also probably be an idea to keep more embalming fluid on hand instead of just the one bottle in the morgue

Having it be in the nanomeds could work too

The help text for the reclaimer says: Fill with organs, limbs, meat, and blood to maintain cloner biomass.

Is there something else I can add there to help make it clearer?

Minor nitpick but shouldn't it be or instead of and?

Balance update:
NanoMeds in medical now come with two embalming syringes (like port-a-nanomeds do)

I now had mutlible shifts with the reclaimer thing, and first I wasnt sure about it but now I like it cause, it opens up many more things like, RP with the chaplin or chances for antags too steal more bodys in secret. Also the morgue is finally being used more

We might want to add a mortician job some time.

I think this is fine overall, I'm curious how it'd work when emagged now and if it will still eat the whole body clothes and all or not. I like the idea of having it encourage inter-departmental cooperation too between botany and the chaplain primarily as well, heck you can even ask your local angler to fish out some body parts to get you some needed biomatter lol. I'm also a fan of it discouraging sec just mulching the body of antags as I've seen far too often security will remove an antag from a round without command approval because of how easy it is.

I do think that the traitor cloner should get a sort of buff to it where it slowly replenishes biomatter or something to compensate but that's about it.

this got testmerged into classic and i don't like it at all. the cloner just became a hassle to use in lowpop. instead of just popping the corpse into the enzymiatic and being able to clone someone, you need to actively spend effort to get enough biomatter to actually clone someone. and for what? i was pretty happy with the old system. roundremoving antagonists is still very easy to do, just throw their corpse off an airlock.

As a note, blood is fully compatible with the cloner - though it is a tad clunky. If we could directly attach IV bags to the clone pod to inject fluids, that'd be fantastic.

(And yes, you pour blood directly into the clone pod with a beaker. iirc it's either 1:2 or 2:1 blood:biomatter)

Disposals, crematorium, kitchen gibber, airlock, Highpower shot from Lawbringer, I'm probably missing a few.

heck yes
that, or just let people transfer fluids from any open-container in and out of open IV bags (only beakers work) and let people clickdrag to transfer the whole contents into/out of the IV
