If you slam a monkey into a console once, it takes that console out of commission immediately. While destruction is cool and it's easy to fix, it's just too easy to accidentally break consoles by slamming someone into them once. Mainly genetics and cloning comes to mind. In the case of genetics, it's particularly devastating as you lose all your stored genes and chromosomes. I've seen this happen a LOT recently so it'd be nice if consoles took a few more slams to break. Or, if you want me to stop complaining about this, make gene consoles only lose their contents after proper deconstruction, not just the screen breaking.

Honestly, shouldn't be too hard to store the data on the console board

Fun fact. Consoles break to Foam Grenades. So yeah..... A little 'too' easy break - i'm inclined to agree.

Being breakable is fine but deleting whole data? Before we used disk, cloning computer still have it clone scan after being broken. It should be the same for gene.

Yeah, break the usability of the console in the form of screens or whatever, but keep the memory stored on the internal parts so it can be repaired or extracted for a new construction.
Would also be neat to have more tech that you could say, plug into console with a broken interface to interact with it. More uses for the mobile laptops or even PDAs
