Make consoles more durable - Cleaverwolf - 08-24-2025 If you slam a monkey into a console once, it takes that console out of commission immediately. While destruction is cool and it's easy to fix, it's just too easy to accidentally break consoles by slamming someone into them once. Mainly genetics and cloning comes to mind. In the case of genetics, it's particularly devastating as you lose all your stored genes and chromosomes. I've seen this happen a LOT recently so it'd be nice if consoles took a few more slams to break. Or, if you want me to stop complaining about this, make gene consoles only lose their contents after proper deconstruction, not just the screen breaking. RE: Make consoles more durable - Lord_earthfire - 08-24-2025 Honestly, shouldn't be too hard to store the data on the console board RE: Make consoles more durable - BioFrequency - 08-24-2025 Fun fact. Consoles break to Foam Grenades. So yeah..... A little 'too' easy break - i'm inclined to agree. RE: Make consoles more durable - t0tino - 08-24-2025 I agree too! Data shouldn't be stored on the glass... RE: Make consoles more durable - Emimiyu - 08-24-2025 Being breakable is fine but deleting whole data? Before we used disk, cloning computer still have it clone scan after being broken. It should be the same for gene. Would also be neat to have more tech that you could say, plug into console with a broken interface to interact with it. More uses for the mobile laptops or even PDAs |
