Pretty much what the title says. Let the head of personnel try to haggle the nukies into signing up for a banking account, or the shambling changeling that's actively killing everyone. or get yelled at by the AI for a bank account because even silicons deserve money.
This should require ID access, so silicons don't make 700 new bank accounts and give each of them thrice the captain's salary.

I do agree with this. I always found it annoying when I make a spare ID for someone who fell into the lava pool in the lava moon. They can't acces their bank anymore.

You can access an account so long as the name matches and you know the PIN tied to the ID
So you can access Staffy McToolbox's account with a spare if the name is the same even though the PIN on the spare is 1111 when their default pin is 2222

I REALLY would love this for the RP servers, I already love putting people into debt as HoP through loans, and this would allow me to make "credit cards" for maximum debt RP.
This would also allow departmental budget cards, which I think is amazing RP as well.

Yeah every time this has been spitballed on the discord the discussion has been pretty positive/When You Code It level stuff.
As an aside: This would also allow the AI to make themselves an account slush fund so they can pay for a ticket to space Taihiti. You could even pay borgs this way.
Sure, they don't actually -have- hands to hold an ID, but that's what human helpers are for.
