Can't you aim at a spot near them? I don't know, haven't used new fireballs yet.

I'm a supporter of all projectiles going over prone people tbh
Unless specifically aimed maybe

Tried specifically aiming it, went right over a guy, hit a wall behind him, blew up a fuel tank and killed the janitor that gave me his galoshes as a peace offering. It was really embarrassing.
