You could always promote a greyshirt to be Captain's Assistant during a round, and have them do shit for you. I don't know how many other roles would need an Assistant. Maybe I should give random crew members greyshirt assistants next time I end up as Head Of Personnel. See how that goes wrong.

when you say captain's butler i can only think of the hop. a good hop generally performs all the tasks the captain would aside from chasing around traitors and being beloved by the crew
