The chaplain has a chute in-between the morgue and the crematorium, so why not have a traitor item that, yes, FEEDS on something, but only the vis viscera of the fallen: arms, legs, hearts, butts, brains, and skulls.
Depending on what you sacrifice (or feed) to the MacGuffin, you get a buff! A lot of arms to the God of Arms? Changeling punches! Brains to the Old One? Telekinesis and powered-up eye lasers! Get a leg up with a leg sacrifice and never topple!
Y'know, stacking buffs that are applied as you sacrifice each weird and odd end to the oddball that appreciates limb and organ energy. (I bet this thing would behave differently if you wore the junkyard robot robe and sacrificed borg parts instead. Or critter meat!) Who knows! Give it to the gods in a flash of light and get your buffs!
