How about, for every heart the chaplain eats, he gets to cast a wizard spell? Some of the weaker ones like knock, or a single magic missle bolt.

I was just thinking about something to do with the hearts now. Pick one or a combination of the ones you like:

1) Eating hearts that you stole with the ritual dagger will heal you.

2)You can feed them to the satanic bible to make its effects even nastier: increased brain damage per hits, increased chance to make the person go berserk/hallucinate, etc.

3) Eating hearts stolen with the ritual dagger will give you a pair of horns and a very deep voice.

4) Eating hearts stolen with the ritual dagger give you a temporary stun resistance and stamina boost.
