That college you speak of is the Priory institute I used to work there, and if follow the road down you get into dodgy territory (flats and stuff) you'll get the mount seskin, where I used to teach.
If you're staying in Ireland for long I recommend going to The Workmans in the City Centre. It's probably the quirkiest pub/club scene. Get the Guinness (it's good there) and Long Island Ice-tea. Smoking area is pretty neat to pick up *other sensual delights*.
Unless you lived in Ireland all the time, then I regress.
