Recycler stuck believing it's in communal mode

I scanned the recycling unit from the mechanic lab and built a new one on Hemera. When I added materials to it it functioned normally, but when I tried to eject them it claimed to be in communal mode despite claiming also that communal mode was unavailable, making it so that I could not get my materials out to use.

Sequence of events
I built the recycler
I built a manufacturer next to it
I recycled a bunch of materials
I click-dragged the recycler output to the manufacturer (this may be relevant?)
I tried to eject the materials, thinking they'd go over to the manufacturer hopefully - this did not work.
