I only brought it up due to being a "Riot officer" sometimes who takes the riot launcher and use the paint rounds, flashbangs and smoke grenades.
The only reason I recommend the "medic" idea since.. it's easy to explain.
But... if we want sub classes without stepping on other departments. You either need to give them gear that is WAY LESS then the actual gear.
Like less versions of it. (like if a medic was there i'd only have small bandages and like 2 pills, so more a 1st responder but lets drop this)
OR... we just divide security officers to get gear on more specialisation skills security needs.
The detective is a great forensics user, but they can be an antag.
But any other officer can mix and match whatever and still have something big.
I would love to trade in my tazer for more non lethal ammo for a riot launcher as example.
Then we just give gears on those levels since I'll be honest.. Chosing between tazer, wavegun, tazershotty and tazer smg... always felt like a dud choice.
Only the Wavegun works completely different, but all other are just "Tazers"
