Hey, I'm gonna go with this incarnation of your double application. If you haven't contacted an admin already via a ]report on discord I wouldn't worry too much, MyBB is a pain in the neck and you're not the only one who has had to fight it to get an application in the right place. It doesn't in my opinion affect your application unless it makes it completely unreadable, which isn't the case here!
I really like the positive attitude in the application and you've been honest about your freshness to playing too. Because we haven't had much time to get to know you, it's difficult to make any kind of assessment about what you might bring to being a HoS. You've definitely done some security shifts so it's very possible you've already managed to develop a positive rapport with some security players who will give some feedback here.
It might help to have a good idea of what you want to be a HoS. I appreciate you say you've enjoyed playing here, but being HoS isn't a natural chain of progression for just having fun. Plenty of people really enjoy playing the game who would neither want to or be suitable for being a HoS.
You can, if you haven't already, ask around the HoSs we have and understand that while the role can be very fun, I doubt any of them would say they couldn't have the same kind of fun for far less effort in many other roles. However, if you had a more specific reason for wanting to apply I'd love to hear that as well and it might help inform others looking at your application.
My other question is that you cover that you've played all of the security roles and in other servers, which is definitely good to know. It's a bit vague to me what kind of experience you have with goonstation in general though. Everyone picks things up at different rates so 3 months isn't really the issue to me, more that given we've not had much time to get to know you, or at least I haven't (and I hope to!) the application doesn't fill out the missing details: Do you feel like you understand enough to do what a HoS needs to? Things like how the chain of command works with command staff, why that funny surgeon might want to do your appendectomy in private. Not universal knowledge by any means, but just if you feel that you've got a good handle on things enough that you can help lead your security team.
Good luck in the application!
