yeah this is cool, if you wanted to make it a bit simpler for sprite work (maybe? I'd assume so) you could stick a little indicator light on the mask when "on" or "off". Physically having the breathmask around your neck is far cooler though I admit.


It's not quite the same idea but while we're discussing gas masks and intakes but if nothing else I would suspect it would be a nice QoL improvement to switch out the ability button colours between "on" and "off" for oxygen supplies, or a more distinct change than the current version. Just from Blue to Green, or a big X like the jetpack button. It's not ever caught me short personally but I imagine it does catch people out at times/remind them of one potential reason they might be gasping for breath etc.
