Perhaps if there style points for doing super "technical" things as a traitor or antagonist, people would do it more often.
For example with chemistry you can blow up the station and leave it a holed, green glowing mess.
Perhaps if you could cause machines to actually "explode" or "behave badly" by doing super technical things, e.g discover exploits in the computers, then people would use computers to do terrible things.
e.g Hack into the security computer and remove all the security records so that nobody can be set to arrest.
e.g hack into the teleporter and start spamming random monsters and the scientists have no idea what's going on.
e.g hack into the pump controls and cause the pressure to make the pipes in the engine explode.
e.g cause random devices to overheat so they explode or something.
