make it so instead of the spit being able to fly itself around and hang out in front of doors waiting for you to open them, it works more like spitting something

it flies out at you a bit faster but if you block it with something it's gone instead of sticking around waiting for you to come out maybe?

you can reduce the recharge time a bit to make up for the spit no longer living long enough to raise a family
