Blob is very evo-point heavy, which is crippling for early-game blobs but really just a minor speedbump for late-game blobs. Between eguns, the construction worker's RCD, the welder's ranged attack, welding fuel floods, and old smoking radium, a blob needs five different upgrades, some of which are quite expensive, to just have a counter to strategies that can be executed by a single crew member at roundstart with minor effort.
I propose that at least some of the upgrades needed to counter those be folded into the default blob, making their early game a bit less evo-point hungry. Let early game blobs focus more on expanding and eating, rather than simply surviving.
