Goonstation is a light RP server. We don't go overboard about our characters' fascinating backstories or even have consistency of behavior, habits, and relationships that span over the rounds.
However, nearly everyone has at least one 'character' that they play as consistently and some may even have befriended others who are part of the regular crew. Whether this is appropriate or not is debatable.
For those of you who do this, this is your chance to introduce those characters and tell us about them. "Who is Crewman X? What do they do on the station? Where do they hail from? Why are they here?"
These are all excellent questions to ask and would probably be asked if someone were to inquire about a character's role or purpose. You can be as creative as you'd like, but being concise is key.
Don't hesitate on detail is what I'm saying, but also don't write up a 9-page character sheet detailing their tragic family history and their immense interest in collecting knit sweaters.
And that's what this thread is about. Are you a bad enough dude to say who that 2d spaceman is?
