Yeah, I was thinking that if the Wood Shop exists, the multiple machines could do different things with the wood sheets. One of which could be a workbench for creating all sorts of hand held and medium sized items. Baseball bats, bows and arrows, wooden clogs, viking beer steins, birdhouses for owls, bee boxes, wooden stakes and crosses for vampires, etc.

Someone else also mentioned using wood pulp for paper and you could probably make some mulch as well to spread on the plants in botany, so full circle there for the Botanists who grow lumber.

Logically you should just be able to get wood from any time you use a chainsaw on a tree-type plant, like Apple or Banana trees or something like that.

There should be a woodshop attached to the brig, so that we can get prisoners to actually be productive (make a liscence plate shop or shop equivelent while your at it.) Also wooden furniture and furniture in general should be packageable and sellable for some kind of money, we could be like amish station, selling wooden furniture to far away solar systems. Seriously, I guarentee you there are some people out there buying.
