I kindof think this would be a great traitor detective item; maybe even a great replacement for the discounted lethals they currently get

The masquerade crate can contain the predator mask, which has old thermals and a voice changer built in.

If it was it would have to have been really recently. Maybe you're thinking of the odd hat?

But anyways old thermals seem like a nice traitor item, even if you can get them with qm access and patience/luck.
