Why not let the medical director summon medibots with their pda.

Can they flash a siren and make little ambulance woop woop noises?

Summoning medibots would be great, if it weren't for the fact that they're distressingly useless.
(although, frankly I don't really mind, since they made doctors completely redundant back when they injected tricordrazine)

How about a function where you can set a medibot designate mode, you select the medibot, then slap someone with your pda and they will ignore everyone else and heal them till they are healed to full. then the medibots would be really useful Especially for when roboticists want to replace everyone's limbs but the medibots keep on leaving their patients for a guy who has a bruise.

So the MD is starting to shape up with the addition of unique traitorous stuff. Great! As a regular Head of the Station however it is still lacking in a few areas:

1. It is the only Head that does not have its own personal locker.

2. It is the only Head without a Head-level PDA cart (EasyRecord Deluxe or SciMaster). It really should have SciMaster, especially since ATM the RD is better at Genetics, a Medical Discipline, than the MD is.

3. Minor but the MD does not have access to the Cloning Pod, it seems to be a Geneticist exclusive? Even Captains don't have access. Since it's the MD though it probably should.

4. Access-wise it's still the RD's shameful little cousin. Ban the RD from Medbay please!

I still think Portable surgery table for MD would be a ultra cool and good idea.

Medbay bombed? Set it up in that spare supply room or bar.

Security officer shot?

Send in the director / a trustworthy doctor with the table and get that officer back in fighting shape on the scene.

Assigning paramedics with the table would be a really good use of the MD.

Also if the MD doesn't already have his/her own medbay vendor, he/she should have one in his/her office.

A private drugstash for emergencies (such as disease outbreaks, major injuries, or if MD just feels like getting high off morphine or getting hooked on antitoxin)

I still support the porta-surgery table. It's cool and extremely useful and has a lot of possibilities for fun gimmicks/murdering.

Thirding support for the portable surgical table, as well as expanding the medical director's access.

It would be fun if it would snap shut on fat people too, because of all the weight. Heh.

Don Wrote:How about letting traitor Medical Directors blow their telecrystals on a vial containing a random pathogen? You'd reintroduce disease outbreaks to the game while also giving MDs their own unique 'thing' that everyone would instantly flag them as an antagonist for the second someone started coughing.
A kit for ~6 crystals that has a bio suit, the virus, a vaccine, and a description of the virus. You could get different pathogens that balance out traits. For instance measles is very infective (irl it lingers in a room for 24 hours after a person has left) and not as deadly. Meanwhile something like HIV would be harder to infect but fatal. You would find a patient 0 to infect and release the plague onto the station through him. A good baddy could destroy the station, a bad one would give himself AIDS and die.

Why not make such a traitor item have some kind of gameplay component to it.

The kit could come with a health analyzer that tells you how susceptible to the disease someone is.

Some kind of plague/fatality/death factor.

Random Pubbie might be the worst possible choice for an injection, but discreetly scanning the captain? 99% rate of infection success.

The rate of success would probably be related to genetics somehow, but basically would determine how likely they are for the infection to take hold and spread.

From there the disease would spread. A good medical director would pretend to be a random doctor, or maybe find a mindslave, and then start scanning random people discreetly. Finding the best patient zero to infect errybody. Find a good patient zero (and assuming the number of telecrystals makes this possible) turn them into a mindslave and go tell them to spread it everywhere.
