SS13 is a FTL communication system whereby we are presented with a fictitious "game" that we "play" with "people" when in reality we are controlling drones sent to a far-off asteroid field under the guise of the apollo program. The spacemen are real.

Based on one of the easter eggs (that aren't that hard to find honestly) in genetics, I'm inclined to believe Cyfarfod's headcannon is the closest to canon.
Of course, it's a game about farty spacemen, so I don't think it really matters THAT much what's canon and what's not.

Except also you have to remember Barkley, shut up and jam gaiden is also canon so it's more convoluted than that

Barkley was in Space Jam, and Looney Tunes have repeatedly crossed over with Cheers, so it's all the same canon.
