Apparently the server did some weird thing where I could still issue commands in the console but no one could connect to it.
It's been restarted now and actually works. Who knows how long it will last this time.

Ok so I investigated. The terraria server threw a shitfit and apparently in the process corrupted the world file (AND the backup somehow?). I'll continue doing some investigation for recovery options but uhh yeah.
This is about what I expect from the highly stable terraria codebase.
