Shock (medical condition) is not being applied/missing - Fox McCloud - 04-03-2015 Shock is currently not rolling for a chance to be applied once someone hits ~100 combined damage. This is leading to a lot of individuals lasting a very very long time in crit, as their total damage must exceed 150 before they can start rolling for a chance to acquire cardiac failure; if someone just hit 100 damage, they they don't have to worry about starting to roll for cardiac failure until their damage hit 151 (or higher); assuming you took no damage at all, that's roughly 3 minutes of 'soft crit' before having to worry about anything. While I realize some of that is intentional and has been in for a very long time, the lack of "shock" is allowing players to last a very long time in crit without any repercussions. Re: Shock (medical condition) is not being applied/missing - somepotato - 04-04-2015 As it stands people die very easily. I like having the chance of being able to go to medbay and being healed before you die, giving the medbay personnel more of a point then healing just bruise/burn and the occasional person that got into shock from inside medbay. Re: Shock (medical condition) is not being applied/missing - Vunterslaush - 04-04-2015 I just got this to happen so shock is still there and working. -------------------------------- Analyzing Results for Billy Crystals: Overall Status: -255% healthy Damage Specifics: 5 - 0 - 0 - 351 Key: Suffocation/Toxin/Burns/Brute Body Temperature: 23.4107°C (74.1393°F) Blood level: LOW | Bleeding wounds detected | Foreign objects detected Significant brain damage detected. Re: Shock (medical condition) is not being applied/missing - Vunterslaush - 04-04-2015 To be fair I shot myself into crit and waited to see how it would react. Re: Shock (medical condition) is not being applied/missing - UrsulaMejor - 04-07-2015 I think shock was recently changed to respond to blood loss Re: Shock (medical condition) is not being applied/missing - Sundance - 04-07-2015 UrsulaMejor Wrote:I think shock was recently changed to respond to blood loss This. And it wasn't too recently either. Personally i'd like to see shock in more situations, but that's a suggestion more than a bug. Re: Shock (medical condition) is not being applied/missing - Convair880 - 04-09-2015 Yes, the shock ailment can occur due to severe blood loss only. |
