Re: Antag type: Hardmode traitor - Roomba - 03-19-2015 That's what I meant, station-leveling is usually accomplished through chemistry/toxins/a shitton of pipe bombs, none of which require traitor items. Heck, you can get a fully kitted out artypod without spending a single tc. Re: Antag type: Hardmode traitor - Paineframe - 03-20-2015 BaneOfGiygas Wrote:I like this. I—and you're free to disagree with me—have always viewed the "load up on sabers/guns/whatever and start shooting everyone in sight" method as a bit of a cop-out as far as traitor strategy is concerned, and I always love facing off against the more devious and underhanded types.I hardly ever see rampage traitors these days - it's much more common for someone to grab an agent card, sleepypen, and/or emag and stealthily wreck things. On the other hand, without traitor items, it's much more difficult to do meaningful damage without resorting to smokes, bombs, or lasers. Re: Antag type: Hardmode traitor - VictorMAngoStein - 03-20-2015 Grey tides are hitler and I'd love to be a hard mode traitor. Remember, hardmode traitors would cost "antag budget" than any other type, so you'd end up with more antag rounds overall with them in. Also by having a role dedicated entirely to being devious, we could see more secret devious options pop up. This is a role practically dedicated to ghetto weapons and home made explosives. Re: Antag type: Hardmode traitor - Winklabom - 03-21-2015 I do wish to see something like this implemented. We could perhaps have a little back story along the lines of rebel/defective clones with an increased aggressivity issue who just want to cause chaos rather than "budget syndicate traitors". It would fit in very well with the hints that SS13 is entirely crewed by clones. (Still make it part of traitors so people cannot opt out of hardcore) |
