being in darkness should give you minor hallucinations that are hard to see or hear clearly and are intended to unsettle your nerves a bit - slow, drawn out rumbles or very faint movement or a shadow that just barely looks faintly humanoid and is a tiiiiiny bit darker than the surrounding darkness.

"slasher" themed antags with minor powers like a wizard.
Cannibal - starts with a red chainsaw, blacksmith hammer that does disorient and wearing an armored apron. Gains health from eating organs, can't speak, comes out as snarls like a werewolf
Psycho - butcher knife, can see through walls from a small distance, has an ability to turn off lights remotely like an AI. Has telepathy gene.
Juggernaut - starts with a machete and Nicholas cage mask, can only walk, but can bust down walls like a hulk. Way tougher than a regular spaceman, maybe passively armored and with empowered regeneration gene. Has the thrall mutantrace so they're ugly as hell
Hunter - fire axe, hunting rifle, bear traps. No special powers. Starts wearing flannel
Stuff along those lines

Make clowns spawn without clumsiness during spooktober, because the scariest thing is a clown that isn't just fooling around.
