A changeling can neurotoxin sting after spitting and the victim will never wake up.
Having to strip one piece at a time would be more busywork. Not to mention how longer it would take to get items for a disguise.

Neurotoxin sting was changed a while back so it doesn't work that way anymore though. Your victim will eventually fall asleep due to morphine but there is a short window between getting spat on and the morphine kicking in during which people can scream "CHANGELING".
