Cameras should only be able to see tiles visible from a camera. So if there are three adjacent rooms, and there are active cameras in two of them, the third would be a blind spot unless there was a window instead of a wall separating the rooms.

This kind of thing has been suggested a million times. It's just not feasible. It would be absolutely miserable because either the AI (the thing that's supposed to be helping and protecting you) would have giant blindspots, or it would have 30000 cameras EVERYWHERE and it would take 5 minutes to move around via arrow keys to see every little area of the station, since what it would see from any one camera would leave most of its screen a black space.

The only thing I wish is that there weren't so many overlapping cameras. You have to cut like 10 cameras justto blind theAI in an area and its easy to forget one

One small thing I'd like as a Geneticist is the ability to assign names to people that I turn into monkeys, or at least have them randomly generated.

Try buffers. I can't returner what the one that changes the name but if you do that it may work, if not I know stable mutagen and blood injected will work

The UI enzymes cannot be altered. Yes you can change it with unstable mutagen but that doesn't let you control what they get named to.
