Luminol is a great thing but has extremely specific uses (like when does anyone actually clean up their evidence)
I wouldn't mind it making brewable, although it really should color the cleaned blood blue like real luminol (or at least what watching CSI thought me)

It does.
There's a bottle in the detective's office on the Destiny (currently on LLJK1) if you or anyone else want to try it out for yourself.

THeres also a bottle in the cog1 detectives office. And yes it does make it blue
