Dude hats are just hats. It's the chumps that wear them when they shouldn't that are gross. If you're not a hard-drinking, loose cannon private eye or a district attorney or an undertaker or Harrison Ford, you don't really need to be wearing a fedora.
That said, this joke is too stupid for a fart-powered 2d spaceman game.
Give the top hat a tip emote instead. Something classy. Give folks a reason to dress up all fancy-like.

We have top hats and nice suits in this game. It is perfectly possible to simply be a well dressed man or woman of the upper class, and being able to tip your tophat to one another would be superb. Burn all fedoras.

I'm with Weavel, that's a good idea.
My issue is that this "*tips fedora/Euphoric" thing is a meme, some dreg of internet comedy dug up from reddit or tumblr or something. Whether fedoras suck or not it's a stupid meme and the description for the fedora itself already comes with a condescending enough message to emphasize what a piece of hipster garbage it is. Because it's not neckbeards most guilty of wearing them, it's hipsters in general.
To use the "proper" framework of a joke: "I fully support the addition of this hilarious emote mocking a small portion of the internet many of the users of this game won't even know shit about! This obscure meme is the utter pinnacle of comedic gold! It is well worth the effort to code and program this asinine joke into the game!"
