There are so many weapons just as good if not better in other ways. The welder might have the highest DPS of all the basic tools, but, it doesnt cause bleed, you can just negate it with fire resistance, it has limited uses before you need to refuel, and theres like no stamina damage to it. The welder just does extra burn damage. Even looking at it realistically a welder will fuck you up. Its fine where it is.
