Noticed it a couple of times now. Not tried it with many upgrades.
When in a charging station as a Borg, if you remove the Efficiency upgrade, it creates an upgrade box outside the dock, as well as keeping it 'installed' in the dock. You can then drag the exterior one into the dock and bob's your uncle, two efficiency upgrades for the price of one.
