If a changeling is turned into a mutant race they cannot transform into horror form or other forms.

"You cannot transform in this state."

If a changeling transforms their arm into a tendril/claw arm, hacks it off with self surgery and then re-attaches it the special arm is now permanent until the changeling transforms into horror form.

That happened to me last night. A vindictive geneticist transformed me into an ungodly squid-person as I soon as I stepped foot onto the shuttle. Instantly ruined my rampage and everything that I had planned. How embarrassing!
