Hacking using (more) signallers and power cells
#1
Being able to attach remote signallers to any wire on any access panel on any device with an access panel, not just airlocks. Surprise angry vending machines and sudden blackout (Hooking up signallers to APC cables should have drawbacks and nerfs tbh)

Being able to attach power cells to whatever that will constantly keep a wire pulsed. If it's the AI control wire then the cell should short out once the AI regains control and have a 5% chance of exploding the cell, cutting the wire and damaging other wires.

Thoughts?

use power cell hacking to discreetly run one machine without needing to power up a whole sector via apc

or jam one of those plasma sabotaged power cells wired up into a machine's maint panel so it fucks up whoever uses it next

put one of those artifact power cells into a machine to let it take the speed up even farther and print out tons of shit super fast

I like your ideas Misto. Also I think only those tiny power cells should work, meaning you gotta put effort in to make that shit. Maybe attach a signaller to a cell to remotely toggle pulsing of a wire too!

attach signalers to for example, securitrons. then, deactivate the securitron with your signaller. then, emag the securitron. then, take it to where you want it to harass people. then, use the signaller to reactivate it

Misto that's fantastic. Maybe bots could all have access panels that you could unscrew if you disabled or trapped it. Of course, Beepsky and any securitron would not appreciate it and would arrest/detain you.

firebots would probably be more receptive to tampering, and they are arguably even more dangerous when emagged

perhaps you could also use this to remotely muss with mulebots

pods also have access panels, remote signallers could also have applications in pod sabotage, such as deactivating life support or deactivating weapons of your opponent remotely
