Power gloves nerf or bug?

It appears power gloves have either been nerfed and I don't know about it or they are not working as intended.
During a traitor round I hot wired the engine and got some power gloves and when I used it on someone even when the engine was in the TW range it did not do nearly as much damage as it should do and did not gib them.

Now im not sure if this is a nerf that im not aware of or its a bug, if it is a bug consider this a bug report if not and its a nerf please let me know.

Are you sure you hotwired the engine correctly?

It should have, I even killed myself with a grille to see if I fucked it up or something and I was gibbed.

this is a problem with the wires not the gloves, the wires have been broken for sometime now and they go from working properly then not working at all then to only having a certain amount of power in them even when the engine is hotwired its that no the gloves were not nerfed.
