I just had a brainstorming session for pod items, here's a list:
- [Utility] Anti-port Field - aoe wormhole deny
- [Weapon] Mine Deploy - drop a mine, activates after 3 seconds, chases nearby targets exploding on impact
- [Weapon] Flak Cannon - Scatter-shot low damage weapon
- [Utility] After thrusters - engage for a temporary speed boost
- [Weapon] Battering (Splattering) Ram - fly into objects/mobs with great force to deal damage
- [Utility] Power Shield - protective shielding (slow recharge?) that mitigates damage, massive power drain
- [Utility] Cloaking - turn (mostly) invisible, using any ability will deactivate cloak
- [Weapon] Bio-Laser - continuous laser beam that ignites mobs
- [Utility] Weigh Anchor/Space Harpoon - tether pod to a tile/pod, cannot move away from anchor point
- [Utility] Upload Virus - Scramble target pod systems randomly
- [Utility] Targeting Subsystem - shots will slightly 'curve' towards a selected target (on screen)
- [Weapon] Telemine - teleports a mine to the target tile
- [Utility] Nanomachines - heals target pod for 50 health/10 seconds
- [Utility] Disable Engines/Statis Shot - slow/stop a target pod
- [Weapon] Drone Swarm - release homing drones that latch onto a pod and deal damage over time
- [Weapon] Hull-Laser - continuous laser designed for non-organic matter
- [Weapon] DOOM CANNON - long charge time, slow cooldown, fast shot, EXTREME damage, may disable systems of the pod firing it
- [Utility] Smoke Ejector - creates a smokescreenÂ
I am certain at least some of those are not completely stupid.
