Good news, I managed to get SS13 running on my new laptop. Bad news, err...

I'm admittedly at a loss for what's causing this or how to fix it.
Apologies for posting this in Bug Reports, I know it's more for general bugs than game troubleshooting but I'm not sure where else to put this.

Seems to happen on labtops(perhaps its a specific brand issue?) in general. Source: recently had this issue at a relatives house while using their labtop for ss13.
