New hair and beard styles are not in the DNA sequence.

Newer (pompadour, for instance) and newest hairstyles do not have an interval of values in the DNA sequence that controls appearance.
If you have one of those hair (and beard) styles, you will never be cloned with the correct appearance, your appearance will not be transmissible with an injector and stable mutagen won't reproduce your looks.

I noticed this months ago in Mushroom. Every time I came out of the cloner my Watson moustache would turn into a toothbrush one.
