Mutant plants not splicing properly

When you splice a mutant plant (or for that matter an already spliced plant) only the reagents from the basic form of the plant will show up in the new strain.

I'm pretty sure that's what they're coded to do. I do wish they kept all reagents, though. It would allow for some very neat things.

Just for the sake of clarity, "coded to do" does not always equal "intended to do". Most people view bugs as things that are broken, but "doesn't do as desired" is just as relevant a bug.

Whether that's what applies in this case I can't be bothered to look up, partly because commenting is terribad and so understanding intention is pretty tough.

There was a big thread on this a couple months ago http://forum.ss13.co/showthread.php?tid=6346

The consensus is that this is a quasi-feature since there are comments in the code mentioning it. It's still dumb and lame though.

did Ummon ever manage to get that patch together?

And would it be possible to convince someone to change this?
