i'd say 40 is too many. maybe around 30-35 or less, imo

Personally I like to look at the name length and content as "Is this marketable?"

Could some company say "here's the name of our newest bottom-shelf Artificial Intelligence series" and reasonably expect some megacorp to buy it? alternatively, could some engineer say "Here boss here's the new AI you asked for" and not have it immediately forgotten?

In other words I tend to steer toward a shorter name with a good mouthfeel rather than a more verbose name. CRIMECORE-2000XL > Rather Skeevy Computerman Y2K

Thanks. I know this is a pretty fiddly question but I'd rather bug people here than actually type something in, in a round, and end up being obnoxious by accident.
