Dead people are not laying down
#1
So some weird stuff is happening with bodies. I was bucklecuffed into a chair and executed via lethal injection and my body would not fall down, even when unbuckled. If you had harm intent on you would push it just like you would a live, standing mob. It even confused a traitor into trying to strangle it to death when it was already dead (it being my body).

Rigor mortis sets in surprisingly quickly.

Also you may have swallowed a gyroscope.

Buckling corpses to chairs sets them upright, iirc. Or if nothing else people who become corpses never lay down as long as they're buckled to the chair.

I mean, think about it, if you're buckled in you can't really fall over. v

the standing will persist even after unbuckling

I can attest to this. It made for a rather frustrating yet simultaneously amusing occurence where my "corpse" was left outside of genetics but it took a solid fifteen minutes for them to realize that it was actually a corpse.

As I said, it persists after unbuckled.
