Expired Mindslave Implant Bug

I was mindslaved by Strelok M.O. last round and eventually I got the popup box telling me that I was free. I later go to punch Strelok and start getting the following message each time I try to throw a punch: 'You cannot harm your master!'

Shouldn't that have expired when the mindslave itself did?

I should have expired when you were freed, but I haven't been mindslaved in a long time so i'm not sure.
