Arachnid Genetics - Become spiderman
#1
Since there's a spiderman costume and also mutant abilities. why not combine the two ideas? shoot webs, make spider silk, have spider sense and Wear the spider man costume. It makes sense. If you can be a cockroach, why not a spider? thoughts?

I like the idea, but I'm also tempted to suggest a psuedo spidersense as a second mutation.

A radar type thing on your screen that turns colors when you're near air leaks or dangerous fire.

Combine it with archnid genetics in the mutation storage thing to get a manspider mutation.

Rather then giving someone extra arms, which seems confusing, people would just get a tread style lower spider half, like a centaur.

scrap all those power and let me lay spider eggs in people.

You should also be able to make web which slows down people and annoys the heck out of them.

Have the danger sense flash when people have certain weapons present or switch to harmful intent near you.

Why not part these mutations into different stuff? Example: Web Shot should be its own mutation you can research, or maybe secret genetic research that go beyond the normal genes A, B, C, Q, and X. By injecting different chems you can unlock new mutations, or maybe require all the letter genes to get new mutations? I don't know, but I would like web-shot to be its own re-searchable mutation.

yeah this seems kind of... to weird for a genetics power?

i'm also very easilly squicked out by stuff like this so i may be biased

Here we go with the could be and might be creepy stuff again.

Anyway I think it's a good idea. I would love to be an actual spider man.

How about Arachnid Genetics means that you puke up piles of spiders, and the help intent occasionally makes a couple scuttle along your forearm and dance across whoever you're trying to help up? It's unsettling, but not in the same way!

I like the idea of producing spiders with your body.

Combine the spider-producing mutation with Apidae Metabolism.

Become a living space-beehive.

this sounds like a better way to do it imo. maybe you could spawn one of those bigger spiders? or just a bunch of babies. i'd assume they'd be passive unless attacked. the flavor text could come just from the mutation itself, i'd think.

What, injecting the spider egg reagent into people with a stinger?

giving people eggs really wouldn't be creepy (unless you make a big thing about impregnating them but that's a context thing) but if they work like the ice spider eggs it seems really powerful for a genetics ability
